Is there a weight limit on the dropper post? |
There is not a weight limit. |
What dropper posts are compatible with ENVE’s remote dropper lever? |
Dropper posts that are mechanically actuated should be compatible with the ENVE Remote Dropper Post lever. |
Which dropper levers are compatible with our post? |
Due to its mechanical actuation, dropper post levers, including purpose built or modified front shift levers, are generally compatible with the ENVE G Series Dropper Post |
What is proper way to store the dropper? |
The ENVE G Series Dropper Post may be stored in either the up or down position. |
How often do the internals need to be replaced/serviced? |
Similar to other bike parts that are subject to wear and tear, it's hard to provide an exact timeline, as many factors such as conditions, weather, rider usage, etc. can factor in. The G Series Dropper Post cartridge, seals, keys, and bushings are tested to the highest standards to minimize maintenance and repair requirements. Check your post regularly for proper function. Service as needed. |
Are rebuild kits, bushings, seals, and anti-rotation keys, etc… covered by the ENVE Factory Limited Warranty or Incidental Damager Protection? |
Bushings, seals, and anti-rotation keys are considered wear parts and are not covered under ENVE’s Factory Limited Warranty or Incidental Damage Protection programs. |
Is this UCI legal for road or for cross? |
Yes, dropper posts are approved for use by the UCI. |
Is there a correlation between tire size or terrain, and needing a dropper? |
No. When choosing a dropper post it's more of a matter of personal preference. We even see some riders choosing to use them on the road w/ 28mm tires. |
Is there a coating on the stanchion of the post? |
The G Series Dropper Post’s stanchion tube is polished and anodized for smooth, long-lasting performance. |
What is the QR code for? |
It is a link to our Installation Instructions |
How do I cut and install the post? |
Refer to our Installation Instructions |
Is it possible to actuate the G Series Dropper Post manually? |
Yes, but not with the seatpost installed on a bike. You need to remove the internal actuator per the Installation Instructions with a long 8mm hex wrench and using the same tool, push the cartridge button to test or open the cartridge. |
What comes in box with the G Series Dropper Post? |
G Series Dropper Post includes the post, internal hardware, and cables/housing/ferrules. ENVE’s remote dropper post lever and Di2 battery holder for the post are sold separately. The dropper lever/actuator does not come with a cable and housing. You can source that from any bike shop. |
Are the G Series Dropper Post shims available aftermarket? |
No, we do not have the shims for aftermarket sale. However, they are typical aluminum seatpost shims and can be sourced from a company like Problem Solvers or and similar solution. |
What frames does your Dropper Post work on? |
Most carbon bikes with a round seatpost that allow for either internal routing into the seat tube or have a port for a dropper post cable to enter the seat tube are compatible. The cable and routing for our post is typical of most internally routed dropper posts on the market. If your frame is not ported for a dropper post, your frame may still be compatible if you are running a 1x drivetrain. Use the front derailleur port to run the cable for the dropper post. Make sure you can pass around your bottom bracket and into the seat tube before you install your G Series Dropper Post. |
Where is the serial number? |
On the side of the seatpost head behind but visible through the saddle hardware. |
Do I need a different hardware kit for different saddle rails? |
No, the G Series Dropper Post is compatible with standard 7x7 rails, oversized 7x9 rails, and oversized 7x10 rails. |

5 Nm |
What material is the dropper lever? |
Aluminum |
Are shims included? |
Yes, the G Series Dropper Post includes seat post shims for 30.9 and 31.6 diameter seat tubes. |
When will parts kits be available and ready to sell on the b2c and to dealers? |
G Series Dropper Post Service Kits will be available in Q3 2022. |
If I trim beyond the max 130mm does that void the warranty? |
Yes. Do not cut the post beyond the max cut line. |
Is the G Series Dropper Post saddle clamp hardware compatible with our current twin bolt cradle hardware? |
No. The G Series Dropper Post features a dedicated 2 bolt saddle rail clamp design that is different from the ENVE Carbon Seatpost. |
What should I do if my G Series Dropper Post won’t go up or down? |
If your G Series Dropper Post was functioning properly, and now it is not, ensure that cable isn’t overly loose or tight. You may also remove the post and manually actuate the dropper to check cartridge’s function. Refer to installation instructions. |
What should I do if my G Series Dropper Post drops on its own? |
If your G Series Dropper Post won’t stay in the extended position, the most likely scenario is that the cable is too tight and holding the internal actuator in a position that won’t allow the cartridge to close. Loosen the cable tension and ensure proper remote lever function. |
Does the dropper or level include a barrel adjuster? | No. At this time it is not included and please use a 3rd party in line barrel adjuster added to your housing if it is your preference. |
